L&T taps Technip Energies for engineering work on ADNOC’s major offshore gas project
Technip Energies has secured a contract from Larsen & Toubro to provide detailed engineering for a major ADNOC Offshore gas development in the United Arab Emirates.

Technip Energies has been selected to perform detailed engineering services for a significant gas development project located offshore in the United Arab Emirates. According to Offshore Energy, the French firm was appointed by Larsen & Toubro Energy Hydrocarbon, which is leading a consortium tasked with the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of the facilities. The project involves both the creation of new offshore structures and the enhancement of current infrastructure.
The contract is valued between €50 million and €250 million, reflecting the scale of the development managed by ADNOC Offshore. Technip Energies plans to utilize its regional expertise and existing relationship with L&T to execute the high-end engineering requirements. This collaboration follows a history of joint work between the two companies across various global upstream and downstream energy projects, focusing on complex maritime environments.
Larsen & Toubro confirmed that a substantial part of the fabrication work will occur at its integrated manufacturing sites. The broader development is part of ADNOC's current efforts to expand gas production, similar to recent investments in other regional gas cap projects. Loïc Chapuis of Technip Energies noted that the award demonstrates a "proven track record" in managing the technical demands of large-scale offshore energy installations.
