ShipStation Global Brings Freight Into the Same Lane as Parcel
ShipStation Global has integrated less-than-truckload freight services into its platform to allow merchants to manage parcel and bulk shipping via a single interface.

According to FreightWaves, ShipStation Global has launched a new less-than-truckload (LTL) service integration, marking its first major product update since the merger between Auctane and WWEX Group. The new feature allows small and midsize merchants to manage both small parcel shipments and large palletized freight within the same software. The company, now valued at approximately $12 billion, aims to eliminate the need for users to switch between different platforms to handle inventory moves or warehouse transfers.
The rollout provides users with access to more than 75 LTL carriers, with 50 providers active at the initial launch. Internal company data suggests that while nearly 80% of current merchants ship freight, more than half previously utilized external systems to coordinate those logistics. ShipStation Global CEO Tom Madine stated that the unified system creates a "single pane of glass" for sellers, reducing the complexity of managing multiple carriers and disparate inventory locations.
The platform focuses on using data to optimize supply chain decisions rather than simply finding the lowest shipping rates. Users can now view real-time rate comparisons, estimated delivery times, and potential damage risks alongside price data. Industry clients ranging from large-scale enterprises to smaller spice distributors have reportedly adopted the automated tools to manage the shift from direct-to-consumer parcel shipping to high-volume commercial freight requirements more efficiently.
