Futura has established an integrated operating model that combines engineering, specialist personnel, and port infrastructure to manage complex maritime projects. According to Offshore Energy, the company coordinates these activities through a single workflow rather than providing isolated services. This approach allows for parallel work packages and serves as a central point of contact for clients involved in multidisciplinary industrial scopes.

The firm operates a dedicated hub at the port of Gaeta for the storage and handling of materials and cables for the energy and telecommunications sectors. This facility features several large cable carousels with capacities of up to 12,000 tons. Futura also maintains a presence at the port of Pozzuoli and holds authorization as a port operator under specific Italian maritime legislation to support vessel turnarounds and equipment preparation.

Complementing these logistics, the firm COMEP provides specialized electrical and cable services for subsea and land-based projects. The company utilizes an internal academy to train personnel for high-voltage power cable jointing and fiber-optic testing. Its teams are qualified for both shallow and deep-water applications, including work on offshore platforms and vessels where they manage cable protection and fault diagnostics.

Both Futura and COMEP emphasize rapid mobilization, frequently organizing technical teams including welders, mechanics, and operators within a two-day notice period. Their combined capabilities cover the full lifecycle of cable systems, from initial vessel chartering and equipment installation to international transport, maintenance, and emergency repairs for existing offshore infrastructure.
