According to Hellenic Shipping News, the gathering at the New York Marriott Downtown will convene major stakeholders from the global shipping and marine energy sectors. The event is designed to facilitate high-level dialogue regarding the evolving landscape of the bunker industry and the broader maritime value chain.

The convention program will focus on critical industry drivers, including the energy transition, fuel quality standards, and the integration of artificial intelligence. Speakers slated for the event include United States Federal Maritime Commission Chair Laura DiBella and Shell Marine President Houda Dabboussi. These leaders will participate in sessions covering market developments and the impact of new international policies on global shipping operations and fuel procurement.

Regional developments in North and Latin America will be a specific focus, highlighting the growing influence of the Americas in the global bunker market. Alexander Prokopakis, Executive Director of IBIA, stated that the convention offers a chance for "collaboration across the marine energy value chain" during a time of significant transition.
