REPOWR, ATBS team up to expand trailer access for owner-operators
A new collaboration between REPOWR and ATBS provides owner-operators with flexible trailer rentals alongside specialized tax and business consulting services.

A new strategic partnership between REPOWR and American Truck Business Services seeks to streamline equipment access for independent truck drivers. According to FreightWaves, the agreement allows ATBS clients to utilize REPOWR’s network for immediate trailer rentals, while carriers on the REPOWR platform gain access to professional bookkeeping and tax consulting.
The arrangement targets small-scale carriers that require refrigerated, flatbed, or dry van equipment without the financial burden of long-term leases or ownership. ATBS members can join the rental marketplace for free and receive lower rates, while REPOWR CEO Chris Hines noted that equipment availability should not be the "thing standing between a driver and their next load."
By utilizing a fleet available at over 2,000 sites, the two companies aim to help owner-operators manage overhead costs more effectively. ATBS executive Mike Hosted stated that this on-demand approach mirrors the operational needs of independent contractors by providing necessary resources only when they are actively needed for freight hauling.
