TGS extends seismic programme offshore Indonesia
TGS has secured a contract extension for its extensive seismic streamer acquisition project located in Indonesian waters.
According to a report by Splash 247, the Oslo-listed firm TGS has obtained an additional month of work for a significant seismic streamer acquisition project in Indonesia. This extension builds upon a substantial agreement originally secured last August, which initially targeted a survey area of roughly 10,000 square kilometers. Operations for the newly announced extension are set to commence this August. The project employs the Ramform Sovereign vessel and utilizes specialized GeoStreamer technology. The primary contract for this Indonesian offshore work began during the final quarter of 2025 and was originally estimated to span a duration of eight months. Kristian Johansen, the chief executive at TGS, noted that the continued work enhances the firm's financial outlook. Johansen stated that the venture "strengthens revenue visibility" for the company while providing the capability to produce high-grade seismic information through efficient acquisition methods.
