Gatik raises $200M to scale driverless freight to thousands
Gatik announced Tuesday it raised $200 million in a Series D round led by Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies. Millennium Management, ARK Invest and Intact Private Capital also joined the round. Federal prosecutors accuse three Houston U.S. Postal Service carriers of stealing checks worth nearly $24 million. A federal grand jury charged five people in the Southern District of Texas on Aug. 19. The indictment describes a scheme involving $23,973,338.15 in stolen checks. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers found more than $9.5 million in suspected methamphetamine inside a commercial detergent shipment entering Texas.
